our story
We met at a Circus of all places. Each had a friend whose co-birthday party was being held there (both are now in the bridal party!). At the time, neither of us was open to a relationship, but we did share a good long conversation about purpose driven business. This is something we are equally passionate about!
Skip forward two years, and after a truckload of self-work for each of us causing us to come to a similar commitment to “never settle”, it appeared the divine plan was to bring us together. In one week, we collided at multiple events, which prompted Luke to ask Fi to meet up for coffee, innocently enough, to find out more about Fi’s business.
That innocent coffee conversation revealed many commonalities, like books we were reading, the work we were doing, spirit animal and more! We talked for more than 2 hours and had us questioning whether it had become a date. So we set an actual dinner date and at that Turkish restaurant the sparks started flying.
We continued to get to know each other and check “musts” off each other’s lists, and very quickly we saw each other as a gift from God, as our “never settle” match. So at Fi’s birthday dinner at Pepe’s, Luke took a moment to gift Fi with a special poem that turned into a proposal, to which she said yes, and here we are today.
Of course, there’s so much more to the story, but we have to save some for the wedding!
